Answer summary
The user has a 60-day single entry visa valid from October 26, 2026, to January 23, 2027, and is confused about the entry timeline. The comments clarify that the visa allows entry into Thailand within this validity period, and once the user enters on December 8, 2026, they will receive a 60-day entry stamp. Users also mention the option to extend the stay for an additional 30 days and provide guidance on not using automatic gates during entry.

That means, you can enter Thailand in between those days for your 60 days stay or lesser. You cannot enter Thailand after Jan 23rd or before Oct 26.
The validity of a single-entry visa for Thailand starts on the date of its issuance (not the date you enter Thailand) So it shows the dates with in you got enter Thailand, on immigration you get stamped for 60 days what you can prolong in the local immigration office for another 30 days Do not use the automatic gates when entering or your status will be changed to the visa exemption system
Sam Lewis Very logical also that you need the manual gate because where you would get your stamp on the visa If you accidentally did it go inmideantly to a live immigration officer to fix it to avoid later problems
Sam Lewis I always enter on Visa exempt so for me it do not matter and I use the electronic gates because it is a lot faster and the screen of the electronic gate at the arrival e-gates asks travelers to confirm that they are entering under the 30-day visa exemption, which warns visa holders not to use them Altough you can use the automated e-gates when LEAVING Thailand if you hold a valid e-passport, regardless of whether you entered on a visa scheme, tourist visa, or long-stay visa ( your data is already entered in the system) Extra information for entering is that you must be a returning visitor who has previously entered Thailand with the same biometric passport (so your data is already in the system). So first time in Thailand or new passport you still need the manual gates.
Just out of interest where did you apply and how long did the application process take? Always good to know turn around times at different Embassies/Consulates 👍
