90 day Notification

This post is just for information:

I tried to do my 90 day notification online twice, TM 47 notification of 90 days overstay, but got rejected because I was supposed to go there the first time in person Immigration division 1 @ chaeng Watthana. I took bts, transfer wat pra si matthat to pink line platform 2 towards civic center off at government complex.

**make an appointment in advance (3 weeks)

Because I had to wait over three hours without an appointment.

The process took only about two minutes and they issued a receipt (see pic). Just be careful to do it in time because you could get a fine of 2 to 5000 baht.

I really hope it works next time online so I don’t have to come back just for this.

It would be much much nicer if you didn’t have to go in person the first time but if you do, please make an appointment three weeks in advance because sometimes the appointments aren’t available & you could be there for three hours or more. Also, there aren’t enough seats & bring your own pen because they won’t let you borrow a pen to write the form. I have a Thai marriage visa and still have to do this.

How did you make an appointment? Can you make an appointment for other processes such as visa extension and residency certificates? Thanks 🙏

, go to website of immigration bureau, then go to Online Appointment. What services are available for online appointment are immigration office specific.

Thank you for the report. Yes, online appointment works pretty well at Bangkok offices.

When you have to do a 90-day report "in person", you can do it by registered EMS through Thailand Post (not all offices accept by post though, Bangkok does) stamped dated 15 days before the due date.

The 90-day report doesn't require the applicant's attendance at the immigration office but the original passport has to go, you can ask your family or friend.

thank you so much. It’s a big risk to put your passport in the mail… but it would save you a lot of time so maybe worth it

, well, you don't send original passport for 90-day report by postal mail. Check your local office what you should send for 90-day report.

For example, in Bangkok, you send all copies other than last 90-days report <- if you did the last one in person or by postal mail you send original receipt.

thank you did you do this for your first report? I think I can do subsequent reports online. This might have been an option, but I think it might be a bit risky.

, you can do the first 90-day report by post in Bangkok.

I sent everything on September 19th for EMS, I have the receipt with the tracking number and the screenshot of the immigration receipt, but I have not received anything until today. What should I do if it does not arrive within 30 days?

, wait for a while more. Or you can call them to check

I think 1178 is the number for immigration enquiries but I have never used it. You could also try following up by email to

I have tried emailing them in the past to follow up a 90 day report submitted by the app. The report was approved but I don’t know if it was because of my email.😃

The first time we have to do it in person at CW, upon return to Thailand I don’t know whether it will work online, any feedback on this ?
Ellie *******
@Frank *********
, the first 90-day report after you enter Thailand again is supposed to do in person.

You can try online (15 days before until 7 days before the due date) first, somehow some people get their first reports after travel out of Thailand approved online (may or may not be glitch). If not approved, go on in person.

I was out of the country recently. When I do my 90-day report, can I do it by mail, as I have been doing for years? Or do I have to go to Immigration at Chaeng Wattana?

@Chip ***********

@Chip ***********
, you can do 90-day report by "legacy" mail. EMS through Thailand post.
