Hello everyone!

I just arrived in Bangkok, Thailand using my DTV visa. I’m looking to get a Thai driver’s license.

Does anyone know the steps or how to start the process? Appreciate any help!

Are you looking to convert a home country license or get a whole new Thai one? Slightly different for each so people can point you in right direction.

correct , I done mine in January and had issues getting a residency cert because I hadn’t done a 90 day report. Ended up having to get it from nonthanburi ( this hurdle may have changed now )

They will obviously also need. tM30 to get the residence certificate

Anonymous participant IDP not required for Thai license. Easier to use an agent. Streamlined

as far as I know, having an IDP is mandatory if you want to convert it into a Thai license. If you want to get from scratch then there's no need to have a foreign license

you don’t convert an IDP to a Thai license. You convert your home license to a Thai license. And I have done it.

I wonder which licensing office you went to. Rayong was mine. They needed NO translation of an Aus licence nor did they want an IDP
