Hi all, we are living in BKK and husband (finally) got his Media visa approved. Can anyone help with the steps needed to cancel his O (dependent) 1 year extension? And will he lose his multiple entries? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
To cancel the dependent O visa after obtaining a Media visa in Thailand, you need to know that the old visa will be cancelled when the new visa is stamped. The multiple entry permit linked to the old visa will also be cancelled. If you plan to obtain the new visa from a Thai Consulate, ensure the Extension of Stay for the old visa is cancelled before leaving.
If he got a new visa the old stay will be cancelled when Immigration stamps in the new visa. His Multiple re-entry permit will also be cancelled as this is based on his old stay. If he goes to a Thai Consulate to get this new visa the Extension of Stay must be cancelled before he leaves.
