What are the steps to cancel a dependent visa after receiving a Media visa in Thailand?

Hi all, we are living in BKK and husband (finally) got his Media visa approved. Can anyone help with the steps needed to cancel his O (dependent) 1 year extension? And will he lose his multiple entries? TIA

If he got a new visa the old stay will be cancelled when Immigration stamps in the new visa. His Multiple re-entry permit will also be cancelled as this is based on his old stay. If he goes to a Thai Consulate to get this new visa the Extension of Stay must be cancelled before he leaves.
