Once you have a DTV. Each time you enter how much do you need to pay? I want to return in January for a few weeks then leave again... but curious what the entrance fee is.

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no entrance fee for holders of a DTV visa when re-entering Thailand. Some land borders may impose a small stamping fee upon exiting if traveling by car, typically around 25 to 30 Baht, but this does not apply to passengers traveling by bus or on foot. The DTV visa allows for multiple entries over five years, without any additional fees for entry or exit.
Nothing. Some land borders occasionally levy a small stamping fee (usually on exiting, not on entering) if you travel with a car but this is limited to something like 25 or 30 Baht and doesn't apply to passengers traveling by bus or on foot.
Kevin *******
Entered on a DTV I mistook this for a 5 year visa to my dismay anything that requires a 1 year visa ie owners document DTV does not qualify as is only a 180 day 😡
What are you talking about? In some respects, the DTV is superior to 1 year visas/extensions except for the need to do either a border run / trip outside the country at the 6 month mark or go for an extension of stay.
Thank you for the clarification guys, I stand corrected
it just sounded too good to be true.
What's the deal with not being able to open a bank account on that visa though? What if you combine it with a 1 year condo rental contract for instance?
I’m pretty sure that 10,000 is for six months and not for the full five years it has to be extended (automatically )every six months with a fee payable every six months
I'm pretty sure you didn't read the rules. It's clearly written. Although the price (if any) and requirements for IN COUNTRY extension aren't clear yet, it's totally certain that if you leave before 180 days, each new entry within the 5-year period is free and grants 180 more days.
This is Fakebook..and some have some people just think they are correct and comment...where your answer is correct in the way I read the visa ..I'm going for it next month due to what you said !
Same. have entered twice already on the DTV. First by air, then by land. Was delighted that my "enter until date" was stamped, not handwritten, as is usually done when entering by land since the 180 day stamps are relatively rare (most visa types allow for entries for 14, 15, 30, 60 or 90 days). Anything above 90 days is normally reserved for those on extensions of stay and are valid until that extension expires.
DTV, LTR and privilege visa holders all receive something more than 90 days per entry (180 days for DTV, up to 10 years but I think they're stamped in for 5 years on an LTV and for privilege visa holders, 1, 5, 10 or even 20 years).
