Financial requirement of 500k...what is known regarding each 180 day report for again showing funds? Is it only when doing in country, or is it also at airport and border crossing on arrival? Or is it simply at officers discretion? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The financial requirement of 500,000 THB must be shown during in-country applications for visa extensions at the Immigration Office (IO). While it is theoretically possible for immigration officers (IOs) to request proof of funds upon arrival at the airport or during border crossings, such instances are reported to be extremely rare. Most travelers do not experience requests for showing financial evidence, as it seems to be more common for in-country processing.

The IO can ask for anything but really haven’t heard of people getting asked

Currently, you would only need to show again for an in country extension at an Immigration Office. Yes, an IO could, at their discretion, ask upon entry. It has been reported but very rare and sources are not 100%
