If I apply for a DTV from the USA, is there any stipulations of length that I have to prove how long I've had my 500k bhat in the bank before applying? Thank you 🙏🏻

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV visa from the USA, there isn't a consistent rule regarding how long you need to hold 500,000 baht in your bank account. Some individuals have reported that they were accepted with funds that had not been held for an extended period, but it is often required to submit six months of bank statements regardless of the account balance. It is advisable to contact the specific Thai consulate you plan to use, as requirements can vary.
I applied in LA california embassy and accidentally sent documents in from my cash management fidelity investment account which is held in a bank with a debit card and routing number but is considered a brokerage account apparently. So they could potentially reject me or ask for the money to be shown in a traditional bank. In which case I would have to transfer the funds to my traditional bank. Show them a statement of the 500,000 but also submit 6 months of bank statements regardless of the amount. I have heard of people being accepted like that

It's different for different places sometime they do and sometimes they don't. I've heard people saying they wanted it in the bank for a certain amount of time and others who say they could transfer the money to an account show they had 500,000 but still had to provide 6 months of statements even if the amount wasn't 500,000 for 6 months. And still got approved. Might be good to email or contact the specific embassy you are applying to.

There are a few Thai consulates in the US, maybe search for the name of the consulate you'll be using
