TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the requirement of maintaining 500,000 BHT in their bank account for three months for the DTV application in the UK. Community responses highlighted varying experiences, with some users stating that a shorter duration, as little as 24 hours or even 10 days, was sufficient based on their successful applications. Definitive advice from a recent communication with the London Embassy confirmed that the amount must be held for at least 10 days prior to application submission, with bank statements to be within 30 days or 3 months. Participants suggested checking individual embassy guidelines for specific requirements.
Just had a reply from the London Embassy…”The required amount must be held for at least 10 days prior to the submission of the DTV application until the visa decision is made. The bank statement should be dated from the last 30 days or 3 months. Please note that any investment-related accounts cannot be accepted. Please consult the details below to check whether you can meet all the requirements before you apply.”
right - it says balance should hold 10 days. Anyway I just showed balance at day of application, as did many others in this group. Obviously no harm sending more if it makes you comfortable or are asked.
