Hello there! I would like to ask you about getting an ED Visa at Thai embassy in Yangon, I was checking about the requisites and they ask for a police clearance certificate. Do you know where this certificate should come from? I’m Mexican working in RDC but I’m flying directly to Bangkok in December with a VOA and then to Myanmar where I’m planning to get this visa.

Answer summary

The user seeks information on obtaining an ED Visa at the Thai embassy in Yangon, particularly the origin of the required police clearance certificate. They are a Mexican national currently working in RDC, planning to enter Thailand with a Visa on Arrival before applying for the ED Visa in Myanmar. Comments from the community suggest contacting an individual for travel history advice and mention the need for a request letter from the school to obtain the police clearance certificate.

The police headquarters near Siam paragon. You'll need a letter from the school requesting it. Takes 10 days if you pick it up yourself.

It might be wise for you to chat with

about your history of travel entries into Thailand before you go to Yangon for an Ed Visa. Good Luck.

The issuing consultant or embassy and the immigration at the border are totally separate entities. It's the embassies in Laos that seem to be the problem. The big boss in Laos is maybe a new guy and he wants less people going there hence the crackdown.

also we can not guarantee a correct answer as Embassy is the one that makes that decision. Your Ed is from an informal School or a proper University ?
