Hi, I would like to ask what are the requirements or things needed when going to Laos Savannakhe or Vientiane to get a Tourist Visa?

The thai consulate in Vientiane does NOT require proof of 20K baht in a bank account OR proof of onward travel OR proof of a hotel booking. All thai consulates are NOT the same when it comes to the requirements for particular visas.

That's why I recommended you to go to the thai consulate in Vientiane rather than Savannakhet ;)

Okay, in stead of Tourist Visa the requirements of the Non Immigrant O visa based on marriage with a Thai National in Savannakhet: the original marriage certificate (if you were married in thailand it's the one with the roses around the border), copies of; front&back of the original marriage certificate, thai wife's house book listing, (Edit) copy Thai wife ID front and back, data page of your passport, lao visa and entry stamp, your wife signs everything with her name on it and you sign everything with yours meaning you BOTH sign, You'll also need 2-passport sized photos, a filled out application and 5000 baht.

I actually wanted to go to Savannakhet to know the requirements for Non O base on Thai Spouse. As I will be applying for that soon, currently waiting to settle my docs needed for Non O. Also I have a newborn 4th month old.

For a tourist visa there are no requirements other than passport photos and cash in Thai baht. They you get copies of the Laos entry visa and your passport, etc, fill out the form and submit. have to stay one night.
