Can someone clarify if my understanding for the ฿ 400,000 required for extension of spouse visa is correct?

1. In sole account for two months prior to application.

2. Remains in account during consideration period.

3. Can then be removed from account if required.

4. Returned to account two months before applying for next extension.

Sorry if this has been covered before!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a spouse visa in Thailand, the ฿ 400,000 must be held in a sole account for two months before the application. It should remain in the account during the consideration period, but it can be removed if necessary. However, the funds must be returned to the account two full months prior to applying for the next extension.

4) not 2 months before next extension but the same thing you wrote in #1. It needs to be in the account for 2 full months before you apply for your extension. So if your extension ends on the 30th of the month but you intend on applying for your extension on the 15th, you need the money back in your account 2 months prior by the 15th.

I wish everyone replied with easy to understand instructions like you. That is so easy to understand I think I finally know how to do it.

Just imagine the look on their faces when I walk in and know what to give them, what to say and when to do everything. Happy endings all around.
