# BKK NON-O Extension of Stay based on Monthly Deposits

My renewal has been recently completed. The following is what I needed to provide.

* TM7 Form completed and signed with a photo attached

* Copy of TDAC for the last entry date

* TM30 Copy of the most recent countersigned

* TM47 Copy of the most recent countersigned

* Copy of Passport (all Pages) countersigned

* Copy of my condo rental lease all pages including a copy of the landlord bluebook and Thai ID card countersigned (new lease Jan 2026)

* Hand drawn map of my condo location, photo of me in front of the condo door

* Social Security Benefit Verification letter

Bank Records where a bit more complicated this year since Wise switched September 2025 to routing transfers through Kasikorn and then transferring to my account at Bangkok Bank.

I was concerned that the deposits into Bangkok Bank would not be accepted because they now appeared as domestic transfers.

Therefore I changed and redirected immigration transfers to Kasikorn bank for the balance of the 12 months. As such I needed documentation from both banks. Last year Immigration told me they wanted a 'Letter of Credit' for each foreign monthly transfer. So Bank Documents included.

* A certified Bangkok Bank statement for 12 months 100baht

* A certified Kasikorn Bank statement for 12 months 100baht

* Letters of Credit for each BKK deposits JUN - SEP 2025. Bangkok Bank charged for each month - 400 baht total

* Letter of Credit for K-Bank deposits Sep 2025 - May 2026. K-bank provided one letter for 200baht

FYI The September transfer that went WISE->Kasikorn->Bangkok Bank. Bangkok Bank would not provide a Letter of Credit. Kasikorn Bank did provide the Letter but Immigration did NOT accept it. Fortunately I had just done a 2nd transfer SEP 2025 directly to Kasikorn bank and that was accepted without problem.

I also brought with me copies of each outgoing transfer from WISE just in case. But these where not needed.

However Immigration still wanted a letter from each bank dated the day of my submission certifying that I was an current customer.

Sadly K-bank has closed the branch a Chaeng Watthana and Bangkok Bank computers where down at that time. So get a taxi to IT Square where both bank have a branch. Struggle with the Customer Service to get the letter, but they finally did it - 100baht. On to K-bank and getting the letter was straight forward, simple and fast - also 100baht.

Back to Immigration building, have lunch and back to the officer, hand in the balance of documents and wait for processing - 1900 baht. Passport return with the new stamp

Over the the section for the multi-entry stamp - hand them the passport - 3800baht and wait for a short while.

Time required 8:00am to about 4:00pm, cost total including copies, fees, grab car etc. ~8000baht.

Note: My girlfriend went with me this time because she wanted to see what was involved. It was super helpful at Bangkok Bank since she was able to explain to the CSR what we needed. The Immigration Officer only spoke to her in Thai since she was there. Clearly did not want to speak to me in English unless absolutely necessary.

I had the forms needed since my landlord went to the office and had a talk with them and he picked them up for me. I went to Bangkok Bank before Songkran to order my 1 year statement. After Songkran I had all my copies, forms, map, photos etc together. I have a home office so I took care of the forms and copies over part of the day. I went back to my bank and picked up the statement and paid for the letter. Walked in and was the next number called. Then went home and organized it all and made an appointment online for Phuket Immigration right before lunch. They knew who I was when I walked in as I have been going there for 20 years. I was warmly greeted and the young man who speaks English very well went through and organized my paperwork, added some pages that they had printed out and put it in my file. The head guy called my number and I sat at his desk. We started talking and then joking around mostly in Thai. He was cracking up! Took less than 15 minutes, but I had to come back the next day to pick it up. I asked him if I just came before lunch the day after would be okay. Sure! See you then. I came in was helped almost immediately. The head guy asked me if I got my passport yet from behind his desk. I thanked everyone and went to the other office to get my reentry permit. Maybe 30 minutes at the office. Takes about 40 minutes each way from Rawai to Phuket. Total cost about ฿3,500. I only need a single entry. Oh and ฿150 for a tank of gas in my motorcycle. I didn’t see any agents in the extension office like I used to.

Jim McGowan So good to hear a positive story in dealings with Thai Immigration.

To many are the opposite.

Some terrible ones to a friend of mine when hes been pulled into the office at Swampy on his to recaent arrivals. He told me the officials there were really rude and obnoxious.

OP
Paul Franklin I did agent 1st year, no need now. Just trying to inform those who want to renew using the monthly deposit basis.

Your comment regarding ‘girlfriend’ is unnecessary, assumptive and contributes nothing to this group.

OP
Robert Calderbank after the first year you can qualify for ongoing extensions based on monthly minimum deposits of 65k baht instead of the 800k sitting in a Thai bank account.

Its always a pain in the rear doing the monthly transfer method and immigration really doesn't like it much. A lot easier to just put the required money either 800K or 400Kin a separate account and let it sit. Been doing that for years with my Non-OA extensions and I'm in and out in less than an hour at my local immigration office.
