TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Non-B visa from outside Thailand, there are no specific minimum bank account requirements or necessary funds to be shown. However, a signed contract with an employer in Thailand is required. There are two main types of Non-B visas: the single entry Non-B, which requires a 90-day reporting, and the multiple entry Non-B, suitable for frequent travelers, with each stay limited to 89 days.

For a Non-B visa, there is no minimum bank account that you need. A person does *NOT* need money in a bank account. A person does need a contract signed with an employer though.

Yes, there are two types of Non-B visas:

1. A single entry Non-B visa with a one year extension of stay (very common). This is what most people use to enter Thailand when they are employed. However, a 90 day report is required (can be done online)

2. A multiple entry Non-B visa. This is used for people who travel frequently to Thailand to attend meetings. On each entry, they can stay no more then 89 days.

I am still here in Thailand but my daughter had to go back to uk because she was too old to be a dependent and so got a METV but and was here in Thailand for about 9 months with that. Right now she is in uk but has got the opportunity of a job back here so will get a non b visa .

@Anne ***********
that is what I assumed...it is for your daughter due to her age.

What kind of Non B is she getting?

Not easy to obtain at this time unless a teacher.

You need to look at the website of the thai consulate in the country where you're applying and read the requirements.

Are you IN thailand now or are you outside?

I ask because what you're not gonna do is "bounce out and back" easily to get a Non-B from any consulate in the immediate area like people could before this covid shit show started :(

it’s for my daughter and she is outside Thailand now . The form asks about finances so I want to know if there is a minimum they want to see .

@An**
and what country is the thai consulate in where she's applying for the visa? Most consulates list the financial requirements IF there are any on the website under the reason that they issue Non-B visas for

UK . Ok I’ll look again . Thank you 😊

all it says
@An**
is

Financial evidence e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, proof of sponsorship from a third party

I think you're going to have to email them and see how much they want to see :/

Strange they don't list an amount :(
Tod *********
@Anne ***********
I looked and it does NOT state a finite amount you need to show :(
