Hi this may sound a little silly but if we have a work permit and come on a Non-B visa do we still need to show 20k baht? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand on a Non-B visa, you could be asked for 20,000 baht as proof of funds, regardless of having a work permit. Experiences vary; some travelers report never being asked, while others mention incidents where they were required to show proof of sufficient funds. It's advisable to be prepared with the necessary documentation, including proof of funds, onward travel, and accommodation details, as requirements can be enforced at the discretion of immigration officers.
But I heard it could happen! Check maybe some forum about it that’s how I notice this incident with a dude from the UK who had everything else like Visa card , pounds but at the BKK airport custome they didn’t let him in???!!! So you figure out yourself
ah ok so I’ll just prepare. I’ve never been asked during my extension but I had to get a new non-b to get my extension again so I was a bit worried. I’ll keep in hand anyhow.
