Great day for me today. LTR finished, stamped in and set for 5 years. For me, it was actually easier doing the paperwork for that than my METV.

One thing I did was to make a point of asking about the 1 year report because I’ve heard different opinions on it. They flat out said, it is one year. Leave The Kingdom and it resets. They actually put the report on March 10 2025 card in my passport. And, I asked about the transferring from old passport to a new one and it’s very easy to do.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully completed the Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa application and found the process easier than for the multiple-entry visa (METV). They confirmed that the 1-year reporting requirement is mandatory: leaving the Kingdom resets the timeline for this report. The report is indicated on the passport card valid until March 10, 2025. Additionally, the user mentioned the simplicity of transferring the visa from an old passport to a new one.

Congratulations. I got my pensioner LTR January 2023. I transferred the visa to a new passport in June 2023 and the BOI staff took care of everything. Very easy. I will be going for my 1 year check-in in June.

we have to transfer our LTR visas to new passports in May of this year. Did you have to make an appointment with the BOI first? If not, did you get the transfer done on the BOI side or the regular immigration side of the floor? Thanks!

, depends on the office/province you use. you need to go to the BOI desk/office. Better to book at BOI always (especially in Bangkok).

Yes I made an appointment and I went directly to the BOI office

Thank you for the report. Congrats you successfully got your LTR.

Maybe because some people are confusing LTR-P with Non-OX.

They have info about 1-year reporting for LTR holders here.
