Hey all, I'm hoping someone can help save me from a heart attack here 😰

As someone on an LTR Visa, is the 1 year report due from the Stamp Date in our passport when we entered the country or the date on the LTR visa?

I thought it was from the stamp date in my passport from when I entered the country, but it occurred to me that it might be based on the Visa date.πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

And if we miss the due date on the 1 year report, what is the penalty? I read that it is a fine, but I'm afraid it could be something more severe. Has anyone ever missed theirs and were still able to do it late?

Thanks so much in advance πŸ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
For holders of an LTR Visa in Thailand, the 1-year reporting is based on the date of entry to Thailand (the stamp date in your passport) rather than the date on the LTR visa. If you leave Thailand and re-enter, you start counting from the new entry date. If you miss the reporting due date, the penalty is typically a fine of 2000 baht, but it’s recommended to report as soon as possible even if late.

Ltr visa TM reporting only necessary as soon as you are in Thailand for one year! So if you leave Thailand the clock stops and start again from zero when you enter Thailand.

You report when you've been in Thailand for 1 consecutive year. If you've left and return you start counting over again from your entry date.

If you miss a report the fine is 2000 baht.

Thanks for clarifying! Almost had a heart attack thinking they could cancel my visa πŸ˜… Luckily I still have time to just do a border run or quick trip

@Koj***
your visa will not be cancelled because of a missed report. It's just a fine and the fine is the same whether it's 8 days late or 8 months late. Some people on regular visas that have to report every 90 days just ignore the requirement altogether and pay a fine each year when they extend their visas.

that's a huge relief πŸ˜… Thanks man! Curious though, is there any unexpected thing most people don't know that could get their visa cancelled?

@Koj***
the biggest one is leaving without a re-entry permit but that's already built into the LTR so it's not a concern

Have you done a 1 year report before? I was researching it a bit more and it looks like it's not as bad as I thought. Just 1 page + proof of residence like a lease. Wanted to see what your experience was like if you've done it before

TM95 form:

@Koj***
I haven't done it but it should be the same as a 90 day report. No lease required. You just need to have a TM30 that was filed at the address you're reporting at.
