Went back today to MTT to close my ‘Under Consideration’ stamp for 60 day covid extension.

Result: Extended to 29 January 2021 👏🏼 Photo below for proof. Dreams do come true, folks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently shared their successful experience obtaining a 60-day COVID-19 extension at the MTT office, resulting in a new stamp valid until January 29, 2021. Other commenters expressed their sentiments, discussed fees (1,900 THB for extensions), and shared varying experiences of their own appointments at MTT, with some receiving 'under consideration' stamps. The community provided insights into the immigration process during the pandemic, highlighting inconsistencies in outcomes for different individuals.

Same case for me. Went yesterday, and told me to come back on Dec 8th. And told me, I would only get until Jan 23rd. The immigration always seem to work on a whim. Different results for different people. But at least, its better than nothing.

I went to MTT today to apply for another 60 days (My current extension expires this November 30th). I was given an under consideration stamp and will have to come back on the 8th of December. BUT they told me that the next 60 days will start TODAY (November 25th) instead of December 1st. To clarify, they also told me it will end January 24th 🤔🙄 FYI I entered originally on a 60 day SETV and had a recent Embassy letter.

Extension

@Benjamin **********
Each extension of stay is 1,900 THB, regardless of the lenght.

I paid 1900 1 day before the amnesty was extended. When i returned a month later they used that 1900 bht for the following month. It felt like it was free. Can you grasp that. Of course all extensions are 1900

@Benjamin **********
What was the stamp you got? Was it an "under consideration" stamp (which should have been closed out) or was it an actual extension of stay?
Benjamin ******
@Benjamin **********
all extension of stay are 1,900 THB. End of story.

@Benjamin **********
show your stamp. Was the date crossed out and a new date added for that "free" extension
Benjamin ***********
It's because of the last minute amnesty extension, basically

my last one was free actually. No idea why

@Benjamin **********
30 days was given for free to some people that applied before the last amnesty change as a reward so to speak.

Any reason why they do "under consideration" for covid 60 extension but not for family 60 day extension?
Benjamin ******
@Igor *******
It is what it is. There's no sense is asking why.

Craig, per your previous post, when taking the taxis from MoChit, those in the "know" will take the exit prior to MTT and via the surface streets, this avoids the freeway toll charges at the 2nd gate.

@Ke**
, thanks man! I ended up doing the BTS all the way to Wat Pra Sri Mahatat again (it’s free after / before Mo Chit) but then did GrabBike both ways to MTT. Was 10x faster as they can weave through traffic. Bit cheaper too 👌🏼
