Hi all

I am looking to get covid extension at MTT.

I've asked the owner of the condo that iam renting to update TM30. The owner will do it online, and will provide a screenshot of it. Is that enough?

What other documents do i need for Covid extension?

Also when arriving at MTT, how do i get forms for Covid Extension and which floor do i go too?

Iam on TR visa and already done 30 day extension, do i also need to do 90 day reporting? if so i plan to do same day as i do my covid extension

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a Covid extension at MTT, the following documents are typically required: a copy of your signed passport data page, passport photo, proof of TM30 filing (such as a screenshot, which should be printed), a signed departure card (TM6), copies of your latest entry stamp, and any previous Covid extension stamps. You will also need to complete the TM7 application form, and possibly an STM2 acknowledgment form, along with a form stating that you don't wish to leave due to Covid. The fee for the extension is 1,900 baht. You should visit the 4th floor at MTT to get the forms, or they're also available on the first floor and there is a photocopy service there. Note that you do not need to do the 90-day reporting as part of this process.

Get the copies from the gurl in the glass cubicle on the first floor get the forms from the paperwork checkers on the floor you're going to for your extension.

Don't get confused, calm down, follow the herd, believe me you're not the only foreigner there getting their extension :)

Anthony Mod. All forms are available at MTT and there is a photocopy service.

Anthony Mod. If you want to print I suggest you download The double A Fastprint app. They have booths all over Bangkok in various stores. You can print for 1.5 baht per copy. You pay through the app. It's great. I use it all the time. There's a Lawson store around the corner from me that has a booth, so it's very convenient.

Anthony Mod. MTT is a shit fight. I had my 90-day already filled in, but had a do a new TM30 because I hadn't done one since March 2020, and their computer noted I'd been in Phuket in August, so I had to go back to the delightful ladies in the general waiting area to get a TM30 form. Lots of queuing and waiting.

You’ll need this stuff. This is the list needed for Phuket. MTT might have small differences.

A copy of your passport data page (signed),

A passport photo,

Proof of filing a TM30,

A copy of your departure card (TM6) (signed)

A copy of your latest entry stamp (signed)

A copy of any previous Covid extension stamps (signed) (Phuket requires this other offices may not)

In Phuket they require the copies to be in portrait not landscape. This means the top of your passport aligns along the shorter side of the A4.

(Other offices may not be as pedantic)

A filled out TM7 (application form for extensions) - the form doesn’t have a space for your email or phone number but just write it on the back (page 2).

A filled out STM2 (acknowledgement that you understand the rules for overstaying)

A filled out “I don’t want to leave because of Covid form” - I have no idea if it has an official name or number.

And 1,900 baht.

If you can get a covid letter from your embassy that also can help. I got one from mine but that’s not one of the mandatory documents so don’t worry if your embassy rejects.

You'll need to rethink using the online tm30 - the system has been down for quite a while . .

Screenshot is enough, but you must print it out.

4th floor.

Also, copy your passport, your TM6, and all stamps since you arrived here.

Edward Jarvis That part I don't know. But I do know a screenshot of it is enough...if you can get it. ;)
