What are the recent updates on retirement extension renewals and bank statement requirements at the immigration office in Thailand?

I Went to CW this morning, retirement extention renewal, and a couple of updates, one to do with 90 day reporting and one on the year's statement of bank account.

Firstly 90 day, surprisingly the immigration op took my existing 90 day slip out of my passport, it still had a month to go, and printed of a new 90 day slip for me valid until Jan '22. That's not happened before but is very helpful and syncs my 90 day reporting and non-O extension renewal.

Secondly, a comment the year's bank statement. My non-O is renewable around the end of October. Last year I renewed it in mid-September. Yesterday I got a 1 year printed statement from the 1st Oct '20 until yesterday's date, Oct 7th, so 1 year and 1 week. Today I was very politely informed that that wasn't long enough and the statement should run from last year's extention renewal date, in mid-september, so they wanted a 1 year 3 week statement, not a straight year. I was told that they would ask the supervisor to accept what I'd given but if not I'd have to get an addition to what I'd given. My statement was accepted and extention given but it's worth remembering that your bank statement needs to run from the date of your last extention which at CW may mean a 13.5 month statement is possibly neededin an extreme cases.

Other than that learning, a very easy, fast morning at CW. I arrived at 8am, was ticket 92, then given ticket 11 for section L1 and all finished by 9.20.

A pleasant experience.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their recent experience at the immigration office regarding their retirement extension renewal. They noted that the immigration officer issued a new 90-day slip even though their previous one had a month left, helping sync their reporting. Additionally, they learned that their bank statement needed to cover the period from their previous extension renewal date rather than just one year, which resulted in them needing a slightly longer statement. Overall, the renewal process was quick and easy.

I’m closing comments. Each immigration office has their own policy and requirements, and I can see this post turning into a “at my immigration office , we…”
