Hi, guys!

Maybe someone has an expertise with multiple entry Tourist visa?

I entered the country in October 2023, extended my 60 days with another 30 days in Immigration office till Jan 15 2024.

Now I want to go to Malaysia and return back in one week.

Are there any restrictions on the time between entries?

Are there any recommendations on how to properly use this MTR visa and stay in the country for as long as possible?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses using a multiple entry tourist visa (METV) in Thailand, specifically focusing on the user's query about traveling to Malaysia and returning within a week. Key points include that there are no strict restrictions on the time between entries for the METV, and the visa is valid for six months from the issue date, allowing for multiple 60-day entries into Thailand. Recommendations include ensuring all proper documentation is ready for immigration checks and possibly extending the stay with a TM30 registration and a 30-day extension at a local immigration office.

My 2 cents. I have done the boarder bounce to Penang twice. Leaving in the morning and returning the same afternoon. My METV was still valid so when I returned I had no issues getting stamped in for another 60 days. Doing it again in February which means that I’m not worried at all about doing it again.

you can get a NEW 60 days STAMP even if you do a BORDER BOUNCE on the last day your METV multiple entry tourist visa is VALID. PLUS one More 30 days extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

THERE IS NO TIME WHICH YOU NEED TO BE OUT OF THAILAND... can do it by Air or land border bounce.. SAME DAY.

Read my reply links to the posts about the METV multiple entry tourist visa.

What is the DATE that the METV multiple entry tourist visa was ISSUED ?

Look at the METV stamp or Evisa email to see the VALIDITY OF THE METV...

The METV Visa is ONLY valid for Entry into Thailand for 6 MONTHS FROM THE DATE IT was ISSUED

NOT 🚫 from the DATE you First arrive into Thailand.

Be sure to have a copy of the METV multiple entry tourist visa to show Thai Immigration Officer upon arrival into Thailand... and be sure that you are STAMPED in for 60 Days Each time you enter.

You can get a 30 day extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

Be sure you have a TM30 address registration on file with Thai Immigration.
