Hello!

I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I am a little confused in regards to where to go for Covid extension if you are Bangkok resident: Chaengwattana or Muang Thong Thani Immigration?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The confusion regarding where to go for Covid extensions in Bangkok hinges on the type of visa entry stamp or extension currently held. Generally, residents may need to use the Chaengwattana office but should come prepared with documentation proving their residence in Bangkok, such as a TM30 receipt or a 90-day report receipt. There may also be some questioning at the immigration office regarding the Covid extension process.

be prepared to show proof you live in Bangkok (TM30 receipt or 90 day report receipt) and be prepared to get some grief and/or explain why you have a covid extension from Nakhon Nayok when you go for this extension at C/W.

You might skate right thru, BUT I want you to be prepared in case you don't.

thank you! Any idea, if I still have to pay 1900 THB at Chaengwattana if they tell me to go to Nakhon Nayok to extend my stay? Or the fee is paid when the extension approved?

@Mariana *******
they will just turn you away and not let you apply at C/W if they ask for a TM30 and you can't do it or you get a hard time because of your out of province covid extensions

I will prepare TM 30 from Bangkok proving that I live in Bangkok along with the flight ticket and the letter from my embassy stating that they don’t issue letters

@Mariana *******
that's all you can do, and I'd make the flight ticket out about 55 days from your current expiration date

The type of entry stamp you came in on or extension you're on now controls where you go

thank you. My last stamp (first Covid extension) was at Nakhon Nayok immigration, but it’s not convenient for me to go there anymore. My TM 30 — address in Bangkok

non-B visa, October 2019. It was canceled in September 2020 as I switched to non-O visa that expired in September 2021

@Mariana *******
then you go to Chaengwattana NOT the MTT office.
