TLDR : Answer Summary
An American currently in Thailand is considering a one-week trip to the Philippines and returning to Thailand before a departure flight on June 25. Key concerns include any potential issues when re-entering Thailand after the trip and whether to extend their stay in Thailand instead. It's noted that a Thai Pass is required for re-entry into Thailand, and they should be cautious about any regulations related to past COVID extensions. Having a return ticket may help mitigate unforeseen issues during re-entry.

ok thanks

As long as you satisfy Thailand Pass requirements and don’t get caught in the crackdown on people returning who previously had COVID extensions.

Bring your ticket to show immigration when you return in case there are unforeseen issues.

Regarding the Philippines I don’t know anything about their requirements.

At this time all you will need is a Thai Pass to enter Thailand...

And what visa or extension...if any ...are you now on in Thailand ?

@James *******
and also must show prof of insurance even though you have the Thai pass . I had an issue April 29 flying from JFK in New York back to Thailand. I had the Thai pass and insurance but because the paper work was in Thai the airline at first would not let me board until I had insurance that was in English I had to buy insurance before I could get checked in . When I landed in Thailand then only the Thai pass was ok .

@Jason *****
so you entered visa exempt with 30 days stamped in on arrival and plan to get a 30 days extension of stay...then depart to the Phillipines.

@James *******
no after first 30 days go to Philippines then return to Thailand for 30 more days then home
James ********
@Jason *****
then you should be okay... have your return ticket to your home to show if asked on your return to Thailand....as well if asked by your airline on check-in in Manila.
