Hi all. I have a question which may not be related to a visa advice but would appreciate any advice you can provide.
I am currently living in Thailand with non immigrant type O extension (retirement) for the last 4 years and I'm planning to go back to Australia to visit my family (after 3 years).
My question is : do i need insurance cover for when i return to Thailand?? I would need to get a Thailand pass before i return here which requires insurance for a minimum of US$ 50000 but do this apply to me or only for tourists.??
Thanks in advance for any feedback
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, currently residing in Thailand on a non-immigrant type O visa (retirement), is inquiring whether they need insurance coverage when returning to Thailand after visiting family in Australia. The responses confirm that insurance is indeed required for reentry, specifically mentioning the need for at least $50,000 coverage for the Thailand Pass, which typically applies to all returning travelers, including those on long-term visas, like retirement visas.
