Chiang Mai is a piece of pi55 to do yourself. Takes about 5 minutes at airport. Pretty quick at Central Festival. All you need is passport and TM47 completed.

If on tourist visa must report before 60 days..like 2 weeks before to get 30 day extension its actually more like 58 days and 29 day extension

any foreigner in Thailand must report if they are in Thailand for 90 days regardless of visa. The only exception is LTR which is 12 monthsBob **********

you can get a 6-12 month tourist visa …..The answer to your question is common sense , the original guys comment is correct also… 0-60 on exempt report to immigration for extension and leave on day 89
