TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused about the duration of their ED visa, which no longer indicates a clear expiry or reentry date as it did previously. Comments from others clarify that the ED visa typically includes an initial 90-day entry that can be extended for 3 months at a time, depending on the applicant's attendance at their educational institution. It's important to have the necessary paperwork from the school to apply for these extensions.

Vientiane ran out of visa stickers again. When that happens they go back to the old style stamp until they get new stickers in.

Yeah if you got it in Laos, you need to cross the border first...

If you do it at the immigration in BKK they'll out the stamp for you (depends if you are in a language school or at uni)

When you cross the border they will stamp you in for 90 days. After that you will have to get extensions of stay at your immigration. You will need the paperwork from your school.

I'm at a Thai school in Bangkok and got my visa in January. When I crossed the border I got a 90 days stamp. Before that one expired I took the paperwork from school to immigration and got an extension of stay by 60 days for 1900 Baht. Before my current stamp expires I will again have to go to immigration to apply for an extension of stay.

Before i had the last date of use. My school is for 8 month so i was scared i got only 3 month. Happened to me few years ago. Paid for 1 year but got only 3 month ._.

If you put in the hours you will get the extensions. Immigration will look at your attendance records. Students without the 10-12 hours per week will get short changed on extension length.

Believe me Sandee Language school knows how to push paper for their ED visa extensions.

You will be eligible for 3 month extensions. The school will give you the paperwork and you’ll take it to immigration every three months. Just make sure you study..

@Ma***
right, they just didn't get their entry stamp :)
Marie *******
Yeah. But what happen with her is that she didn't cross the border yet. She doesn't have the stamp with the dates

that is a 90 day stamp on an ED visa gotten INSIDE of thailand not from a thai consulate

I would bet the opposite page of your passport has the Non-Immigrant ED visa stamped in it.
Marie *******
Technically they stamp your date on your passport. I had that when I did my education visa as well
