ORIGINAL POSTER
Hi! May I ask about the insurance coverage requirements for the 'Retirement-Extension of Stay' of the 'Non-immigrant O-A visa'?

I have extended my extension of stay in year 2020 and 2021 successfully, with fulfilling the 400k/40k Baht requirements of the insurance. But, I am now confused with the new insurance requirement, i.e. 3.5 million Baht requirement.

Could you advice me whether I can continue my 400k/40k Baht insurance program for this year extension, please?

My current extension of stay will end on May, and I will visit the Chang Wattana- Bangkok Immigration.

Thank you in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The insurance coverage requirement for the Retirement Extension of Stay on the Non-Immigrant O-A visa is currently still 400k/40k Baht. The new requirement of 3 million Baht will not take effect until October, allowing you to continue using your existing insurance for this year's extension, which ends in May.
