Will my friend face issues re-entering Thailand after not doing a 90-day report?

I had a friend who didn’t do 90 day report and he left the country. Will he have an issue coming back? Shouldn’t they have pulled him up at immigration when leaving and possibly give him a fine or something?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about their friend's potential issues re-entering Thailand after failing to do a 90-day report. Community members respond that there are generally no issues at the immigration checkpoint upon leaving, and the friend should still be able to return. However, they note that the next time a 90-day report is due, the officer may impose a fine of 2,000 baht for the past missed report.

No issue coming back. What may happen is the next time they do a 90 day report an eagle eyed officer may spot they didn’t do a previous one and fine them 2,000 baht.

Anonymous participant It's wise to always follow the terms and conditions of the Thai authorities to avoid any problems. Filling out the 90-day report is very easy. If you complete it regularly online, you'll receive an email from the Immigration Office 10 days before the next due date. So there's no excuse for missing the Deadline. Your friend might get a fine when he enters Thailand again or at the immigration when he does the next report. But I'm sure it doesn't have an effect on the visa.

Filling out the 90-day report is very easy. Don't you have to do it in person in Bangkok for the first time, per entry ?

Today is the day I start deciding to not answer questions for people who do not reveal their identity.

Nothing to worry about. Entry ports do not check up on 90 days reports leaving or entering. At least I have never heard it happening. Immigration Offices might at extension or renewal. Some guys on retirement O do not bother doing 90 days reports and pay the fine once a year when renewing :-)

so not reporting after 90 days is okay?

Anonymous participant If you leave and come back in there will be no issue at entry. At least I have never heard of anyone ever pulled about it at entry points.
