Hi, I am looking for any answers on applying for the DTV visa with children. I have 2 children and can’t get definitive answers on the amount that has to be shown for kids. I am a US citizen and I homeschool. I’ve heard only 500,000 baht has to be shown for all of us and I’ve seen 500,000 each. Has anyone done this yet? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking clarification on the financial requirements for applying for a DTV visa in Thailand as a US citizen with two children. They are unsure whether they need to show 500,000 baht per child or just 500,000 baht for the entire family. Responses indicate that typically, the requirement is 500,000 baht for the primary visa holder, with children covered as dependents, needing only proof of their relationship.

It is 500k for the visa holder and that covers children and spouse. The children are just applying as dependents under the primary visa holder so they just need proof of relationship to the person with the DTV. The only additional money is the separate application fees per applicant. At least this is how it works for us coming from the US

This varies by embassy. You need to check with the embassy you plan to apply via and ask them their requirements .
