The discussion revolves around the lifestyle of digital nomads in Thailand, with references to the movie 'The Beach' and its portrayal of life in Thailand. Comments reflect on themes of visa compliance, the social interactions of nomads, and nostalgic sentiments related to living in Thailand, particularly during the early '90s. There is a notable inquiry about how visa compliance was handled in the past as depicted in the movie versus present-day regulations.

Every time I get hunted by a shark, I think of this movie.

The book was fantastic. It really captured the mood of being in Thailand in the early 1990s.

Only 3 of them?? This is more likely...

The characters at The Beach never worried about visa compliance. Was that because it was fiction or because it was the 1996?

Put "The Beach" for your address in your 90-day report!
you’re too old to understand online work then. I work online and have a ton of human interaction. The digital space has created new jobs and unlimited possibilities. What kind of job is it if it’s not a proper job ?
old people enjoyed life in all aspects ,and used to answer the phone without knowing who is calling....and now they can enjoy 2024 modern times so they are The real nomads from one era to where we are right now....cheers
erm interesting logic there lol. I just find it interesting that they complain about so called nomads sitting quietly in a coffee shop working on their computers and say it’s not real work. It shows a lack of understanding and awareness
because coffee shops were not designed to be portable offices for those who work remotely ,,,,, yes they sit quietly,,,,,,, but then frown at real customers that come in for a coffee and a chat
nobody said its not real work, its valuable work and has Great Outcomes and requires Long Trainings before..however Thai are smart to Come up with DTV visa with certain conditions coz they know very well the nature of their country and How farangs Think😅 i hope you You get the idea🙂
oh you imposed a limit did you , who the he'll are you and use of them is age dependent omg freak 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🖕

Great movie makes me wanna cry when I think of my possible life in thailand
yes and having proper interaction and communication with colleagues and developing social skills , home working is going to make people pay a big price. Also it's ruined all the coffee shops that have now got non talking customers in them , not what they were designed for. Starbucks should bring in a mi imum spend and charge for Internet access
Of course I am in Thailand but I don't ever spend anytime in Starbucks. Obviously it was tongue in cheek, of course people go to Starbucks. Maybe try a real coffee shop tucked away out of the tourist scene with local coffee and locally owned, not a franchise. There are too many in bkk. We just have different experiences I guess.
yes but look around and see all the so called digital nomads buying on coffee and making it last 5 hours so they can use the free wi fi , making less room available for people that buy more in a short time and want a coffee and a chat etc
