Hi all. Usually I use the Phuket Immigration Office to do all my visa stuff. But I may need to use the Ubon Ratchathani office this time around, due to family needs to be up here.

Just wondering if anyone has used the Ubon Ratchathani office lately and any tips. Past experiences have seen some differences between offices. FYI....I will be submitting a 12 month extension request on my 3 month non resident visa for being married to a Thai Citizen.

Thanks.....๐Ÿ˜€

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses experiences with the Ubon Ratchathani Immigration Office for visa extensions, specifically for a 12-month extension under a non-resident visa due to marriage to a Thai citizen. Some users have had negative experiences and suggest avoiding the office, while others report positive encounters, emphasizing the importance of good preparation, a polite attitude, and visiting the Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University office for better service. Use the office at Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University. The office is near the main entrance to the university.

Not there currently but was there in May and June. Also used to work in Ubon and never had any problems with them.

Normally isn't that busy, at least late afternoon whenever I went.

They have always been friendly and helpful to me.

Every office different.

Disagree with Harry. I have only used the Ubon office at the university and have had 100% positive experiences. I have used them to extend my stay on a 90 day Non O from Laos based on marriage. I have used them to extend a 30 day entry stamp for the simple 30 day and on the 60 day based on marriage. I have gone there to update my address and do 90 day check in. Literally every experience was quick, efficient, professional and with a smile.

Having said all of that we are extremely competent with our paperwork, we smile and greet people and offer thanks for their assistance. We donโ€™t treat them like they owe us something or with any attitude. I see that plenty and it simply backfires.

As my father told me a long time ago โ€œyou draw more flies with sugar than you do with shit.โ€
