, first of all, as you named it it differs at every office. Second of all you know this and open another topic without even mention where you stay but want experience of people visiting over 75 Immigration Offices in Thailand. sorry, but with nearly 27k members this post will run for days to get all of their experience. Go to your local Immigration Office and ask. They won't shoot you or as I do close commenting. If you try to make another topic, there is enough information on this page to be found about the TM 30, I already gave you a list with the FAQ, so use the search option.

I realize that but it would be nice to hear of others experiences. Is it expensive to leave a thread open too long?

In my opinion, the answer is no, because:

1. Experiences can be outdated. What happened 5 years ago may not be valid now.

2. Situations may be different. People with different visas, age, and nationalities will be treated differently.

3. Miscommunications. It's extremely common for people from America to say they have a visa on arrival, when they mean visa exempt, for example. Or that people try to get a marriage visa (probably a extension of stay based on marriage). There's also the language difference between members as well.

All of these will result in confusion, misunderstanding, and bad advice.

But it's true though. Different offices have different policies. I live in Kanchanaburi on a Non-O ME. About two weeks ago, I realized I never filed a TM30. I went down to the local immigration office, with money to pay the fine. She took one look through my passport, told me to do a border bounce, and to come back with the forms completed and not give her any money.

It sounds like Bangkok is becoming strict, and they may not allow that to happen. So the best thing to do is to walk in and talk to them.

This isn't an "experience" form or ways to bend the laws, I don't think. This is a legal form. And right now, it's up to each office to make their own policy.

Besides, what's so bad about walking in and asking them yourself.
