Bangkok hotel TM30 experience ...and BKK TM30 immigration reaction. Note: I hope my posting multiple images is not against group rules ...otherwise I can delete some images.
So I fly into BKK 10 days ago and check in to Hotel. They have told me ahead of time that they know how to log on to the tm30 system and report my hotel stay.
On their computer they login to the tm30 system and enter my name, passport number, Etc and I have them push the print screen button to capture that they tm30 reported me (see first image below).
I take this screen print to immigration as proof of tm30 registration and as we know now this is not sufficient. I believe the woman who was the department head actually called the hotel to verify me. She then printed for me to keep a page which has several columns with name, passport number, entry date, etc. (see 2nd image).
When I went back to my hotel, the hotel went through the steps immigration told them to take and as Todd mentioned the hotel should go to the tm30 menu option on the left side (see 3rd image).
But from what I can tell they can only search for all the TM reports for a certain day. So when the hotel did that search, the resulting print out had not only had my name but everyone's name and private information such as their passport number. The fourth image below shows the Hotel computer screen with this printout form (with the fields empty to prevent revealing multiple passport numbers).
So even after talking to immigration, the hotel desk clerk was still not able to provide me a multi-column printout with just my name ....like the one I had received at CW immigration previously that day.
It could be that hotels are able to do this but my hotel was not. I even carried instructions from immigration that hotels are supposed to use but the hotel said this did not provide specific steps to get to the desired printout. I have a copy of this if people would like to see it.
This was 10 days ago and maybe others have since found the proper way to get an online print out from a hotel that immigration will accept.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The post details a user's experience with the TM30 registration process at a hotel in Bangkok after arriving in Thailand. The user describes how their hotel logged their stay in the TM30 system and provided a screen print as proof, which was insufficient for immigration purposes. The user explains that the immigration officer called the hotel for verification and issued a correct document, but the hotel was unable to provide a similar printout specifically listing just the user's information. This raises concerns about the consistency and adequacy of hotel responses to immigration requirements regarding TM30 documentation.
