ORIGINAL POSTER
Digital nomad in music production here going for the DTV!

Got alot of electronics such as a laptop, headphones, sound interface and such.

I’ve read that the limit is electronics under 20 000 THB otherwise I need to pay import or customs duty, but I really need it to be able to work.

What do you think?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A digital nomad in music production is concerned about bringing electronics into Thailand under the DTV visa, specifically regarding customs duty for items valued over 20,000 THB. Comments suggest that as long as the items can fit in a suitcase, they should generally be accepted without declaration, as customs in Thailand is lenient towards personal use items.

If it can fit in a suite-case, you're alright. I have traveled with 3 laptops with a combined total value well over 20,000.

I would not declare anything when coming in. Customs here is kinda voluntary. I think they may stop you if you have several suite cases or an arm full of gold watches but otherwise their not concern with 'personal use' items.

I bring my whole computer to thailand without issues. Including microphone with the stand, camera with the arm, along with many other peripherals.
