Could someone please clarify about the extensions regarding visas due to the covid? My 90-day check in date in my passport is July 13. The extension for all visas, as I understand it, is until July 31. Does that mean I must check in by July 31, or is my check in date extended to 90 days from July 13?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community discussed visa extensions due to COVID-19, especially regarding the 90-day check-in for non-Immigrant visa holders in Thailand. Users clarified that the extension allows checking in up to the end of July, and confirmed that you should report to immigration on your scheduled date, which is normalized, rather than waiting until the end of the extension period. Furthermore, online reporting options were noted as alternatives for those familiar with submitting their reports electronically.

OK, thanks. I'll go on July 8 as normal. I think you are probably right. If we all go on July 31, what a crowd that would be. I can't do an on-line check in at my immigration office. I asked about that the last time.

It's this group's opinion that you should continue submitting the 90 day reports as normal. Immigration doesn't have a lot of people now, and it should be fast. If this is NOT your first 90 day report, you can use one of the following software programs to submit the 90 day report from the comfort of your own house:

Immigration web-portal;

I remembered the date incorrectly. It is July 8, not July 13, but either way I'm covered by the extension.

If you do not have a Multiple Entry and you do not have to leave the country, I guess you have a big stamp from Immigration with on the first line the name of the office and on the second line the text Extension of Stay is permitted up to ../../.. date. Before that date you report at Immigration and apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay.

If you went every 90 days to Immigration Office there is a small document with the text: Notification of Stay and next date to notify Immigration is: ../../..

Thanks for your reply but no, I do not have multiple entry and I do not have to leave the country. I only need to check in with my local (1-

hour away) immigration office, but I don't know when I should check in again.

Can you take a picture of your visa/ extension of stay (with any personal information removed)?

not really sure, but i guess you have 1 year multiple entry non Immigrant Visa and you leave the country every 90 days, turn around and come directly back to get a new 90 day period.

As you can not re-enter at the moment, you can wait until the land border open up again. There will be an announcement which day the borders opens and how many days people get to make their border runs without being fined for overstay.
