TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the travel requirements for bringing a Thai partner to the UK. Comments from others clarified that in addition to a required visa or BRP, travelers need a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of departure, completion of an online return form yielding a QR code, and potential hotel quarantine upon arrival, depending on the current regulations.

Just remember that it is quite possible you & her could well need to quarantine in hotel at your own cost for 10 days.
this change apparently comes into effect on Monday 15th only countries on the banned list tho,Thailand isn't on it,test n release is what she will have to do 2 tests while in 10 days self isolation at home
Go to Dr Donna at raquet club, she is actually a British Doctor i was there doing test for Singapore but there was family doing tests for UK entry they seemed to be aware of all requirements for different countrys. Testing was 3000 baht and includes free fit to fly
You can use rapid antigen test which is quicker and cheaper, also they are introducing hotel quarantine for arrivals from certain countries soon like the UAE so I wouldnt recommend using emirates

So entering Thailand strict on the rt topic of pcr test does it not matter entering UK?
My Thai partner flew back to UK last weekend. Aside from and required visa/BRP, they needed a negative covid test of any type within 72 hours of departure and they needed to complete the online return to UK form and be able to show a QR code that this generates (can only be done within 48 hours of arrival). Both can be printed or electronic.
