For a visa extension based on retirement..
My friend had this done last week
It seems things may have changed with regards to the bank letter!
He got his the day before
And was turned away, told to come back the next day!
They wanted the letter on the same day he applied
When I did mine last year
I went to the bank the day before!
Has anyone else had this experience in Jomtien?
TLDR : Answer Summary
There has been a recent change in the requirements for obtaining a retirement visa extension in Jomtien, Thailand. A user shared their experience where their friend was turned away because the immigration office required the bank letter to be dated on the same day as the application, contrary to previous practices that accepted letters dated a day or two earlier. Comments suggest that experiences may vary significantly across different immigration offices, with some requiring the bank letter on the same day while others may accept it up to two or three days prior.
