Any updates from Mukdahan - Savannakhet border ? Are they still open for people who has Loa visa? Is it going to be difficult to come back to Thai side after get visa at Thai consulate there??

I border bounced their yesterday with a Lao visa in my passport (obtained before they stopped issuing them) and also a medical certificate to show.

On the side exiting laos there was only one station open to get the exit stamp and most everything closed down.

If you have a visa already you need to get there asap! They could close the border at anytime.

im about to take go there this morning and now i got a news from Thai consulate in Savannakhet said now 3 borders will be close for sure this monday.. no point to go there anymore. 😢

to get my visa i need non-o visa based on married thai wife overthere .. i have evisa from lao already
