How soon before your going to Thailand should you apply for a NON O VISA Tia
Answer summary
The consensus on when to apply for a NON-O visa before traveling to Thailand is to start the application process no less than 30 days before your intended travel date. Many users recommend applying 1 to 2 months in advance to ensure sufficient processing time, as it typically takes anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks for the visa to be approved depending on the embassy. Some users have indicated even longer processing times could occur. It's also noted that the NON-O visa is valid for 90 days after issuance, and it's crucial to consult the Thai embassy or consulate for specific guidance based on your location.

You should apply within 2-3 months of entry. The visa validity is 90 days from issuance and once you enter you can stay for 90 days after which you'll need an extension
Check the Thai embassy in your country. They’ll have information about the average process time. In uk I applied about a month before travel once I knew my dates. Took about 10 days to come through.
I applied for mine in April Thai embassy London just before Song Gran, I got it after about 3 or 4 weeks travelled 1st June , so I was 2 months before travel
G’day Alan, I have just received my Non-O, it took a little over three weeks. It was quite easy to do online, no follow up questions, no interviews. I nominated the Sydney Embassy as my closest. Just follow the process on the Thai e-Visa site, hope this helps.
Non-O or Non-OA, do they not make a difference for you? I believe Non-O has no insurance requirements, but one can only apply for Non-OA if applying outside of Thailand.
Yi Guo bad advice I am afraid. You can get a Non Immigrant O at the vast majority if not all Consulates (apply online of course). Certainly all European, North America and Australian Consulates.
Graham Seal I've just got denied today to open a bank account (saving account) with Krungsri bank having the exact same documents you listed. They told me they want a declaration of me being resident in the country from the consulate / embassy where I'm from (Italy). That's not even the first time I hear that though. So I got denied, what should I do in your opinion?
I’m not sure if this is a loud or not just delete it if it’s not allowed but I am a travel agent independent and I have a client who is coming to Thailand December or January and they are wanting me to book some excursions. What are some of the favorite places to go and things to do while in Thailand? They will have two weeks and then they’ll return to the US and would I be able to book those excursions for them or would it be better for them to book after they get to Thailand?
Your Embassy should have some information about what the estimated processing time is.
But your visa will be valid for 90 days after it is approved, and you will be stamped in for 90 days regardless of how long is left on your visa validity.
Now, most Embassies will just flat out reject your application if you apply more than 3 months ahead of time.
So... 1-2 months before the intended travel-date, is my recommendation.
A Non-O visa is valid to enter Thailand for 90 days from the date of issue and once you enter you get stamped in for 90 days. I'd apply say 60 days before you intend to travel
