TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the challenges faced by individuals looking to obtain a business visa (Non-B) during the COVID-19 pandemic. One participant questions the applicability of work permits for foreigners managing a Thai company, while others clarify that obtaining a Non-B visa may require leaving Thailand to apply at a Thai embassy. If the investment in property exceeds 10 million baht, there might be different options available.
I am in the same position, tried everything possible but no chance to get the Non-B inside of Thailand. And the Non-B youโll need for applying for the work permit.
If you hear anything different, please let me know ๐
If it is a foreign company registered under the BOI, maybe, but if it is a Thai company you would need to leave the country in order to get your type B visa from a Thai embassy. Just curious. What visa extension are you currently in Thailand on? Also, if you are the actual investor, and it is over bt10million, you might have another option
. It's not that simple. You need to meet certain requirements as a foreigner to open and be a member of staff to obtain a work permit linked to that business. Being a part owner of a business doesnt always mean you are a member of staff, which requires a work permit.
