Hi guys need some advice from this group

I left Thailand in 2020 and have a real estate company in Thailand just when I process my workpermit the Covid situation started

Now I want to go back to Thailand in April

To get a Business visa here in Spain is so complicated as I am not resident here and have the Dutch nationality as well all the paperwork from the company has to be sent here to me

So I was thinking to go back to Thailand on an tourist visa and maybe get an extension to organize all my paperwork and then go out of the country to Malaysia and do my visa there

My wife will get also first a tourist visa and then change it to an study visa and one year later get the retirement visa I don’t want to do the retirement visa strait away as I want to use the funds to bring back my business to life

What you guys think

For me you think is the best way to do to go to Malaysia at Thai embassy ?

For my wife you think I will case problem that she will have first a study visa and later change to retirement visa

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on returning to Thailand after leaving in 2020 due to the COVID situation. They propose entering Thailand on a tourist visa, then potentially extending it to sort out paperwork for their business. The user is also inquiring about their wife obtaining a tourist visa initially, then changing it to a study visa, with future plans for a retirement visa. They ask for opinions on this approach and whether transitioning from a study visa to a retirement visa could pose issues.
