ORIGINAL POSTER
I am a U.S. citizen and purchased a Thai company March 23rd, I am one of three directors. I have all the proper documents showing my ownership and position. Normally, I would apply for a NON-IMM B visa in BKK but due to the current situation can not travel to Bangkok. The registered company office is in Bangkok. I live in Chiangmai.

I believe under "FOREIGNERS WORKING MANAGEMENT EMERGENCY DECREE (2) B.E. 2561 (2018) Section 4 (8) representives of foreign juristic persons obtaining a license to operate a business under the law on foreign business operation" do not require a work permit and can get a NON-IMM B visa.

Is it possible to apply for a NON-IMM B in Chiangmai?

I am on my first 30 day extension of stay that expires 9 April 2020.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A U.S. citizen who purchased a Thai company is inquiring if it's possible to apply for a NON-IMM B visa in Chiangmai, given current travel restrictions to Bangkok, where the company is registered. The inquiry references a legal decreed exemption regarding work permits for foreign directors of Thai companies.

I guess the stamp in your passport is not an Extension of Stay, take a good look and I think the text is:

Application of stay is under consideration of Immigration bureau

Applicant must contact this office again on 9 April 2020

Please check and and inform us.
