What is the cheapest option for a complete visa run (is that the correct terminology? including transportation, visa application fee, accommodation? Will be entering on a SETV on my next trip that I intend to extend with 30 days and then apply for a new SETV for another 60+30 (extension). I don't qualify for a METV unfortunately. Are the visa fees for a SETV the same at all embassies/consulates? Which neighbouring countries won't issue SETV? I will be traveling around S.E.A. but don't want to have to go back to Sweden in order to apply for a new visa.

Tried to look around the forum with the search function, didn't find anything that answers my questions unfortunately. :/

I hold a Swedish passport.

TIA.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is seeking advice on the most affordable complete process for a visa run, which includes transportation, visa application fees, and accommodation, before applying for a Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV). They mentioned their plans to extend the SETV and inquired about the cost consistency of SETV fees across different embassies and which neighboring countries do not issue SETVs. Responses suggest considering Laos, Penang, or Vientiane for the visa application, but underline the need for the poster to research the least expensive options independently.

If you can meet the requirements you can use just about any of the thai consulates in S/E Asia to get a single entry tourist visa.

You also don't say where you are in thailand and depending on your location it might be easier to go south to Penang Malaysia or north to Vientiane Lao.

As far as cheapest options, you're on your own.

Then you could use a thai consulate just about anywhere in S/E Asia. It's just up to where you wanna go for the visa.

And when you go to a thai consulate to get a single entry tourist visa would you be able to show proof of 20K baht (or the equivalent) in a bank account, proof of onward travel in 60-90 days and proof of a hotel reservation or confirmed lodging?
