What are the chances of receiving a 30-day or 7-day extension for my visa exemption in Thailand after multiple visits?
Update, I was given 7 days extension, attempts to get 30 days was denied. Officer did not ask any questions nor ask for additional documents.
Hi, I applied for visa exemption extension online via VFA. This is my third visit to Bangkok Thailand this year.
1st visit - early jan 2 weeks or so.
2nd visit - mid July to October 60+30 days extension (I consumed roughly 78 days)
Between my 2nd and 3rd visit I went back to my home city Hanoi for 5 days
3rd visit mid October to present with online extension appointment in person on Monday 15th Dec, the day my visa exemption ends.
What's are the odds the IO will give me

it does exist. You pay extra money to submit everything online and then you still have to go into the immigration office and bring everything you submitted online. It's a waste of money.

Current guidelines would suggest you will be given 7 days emergency extension to get out of Thailand. However, the guidelines also say if you can convince the IO that you are a genuine tourist then 3 entries visa-exempt is OK. Please report back of the outcome.

the 7 day extension is NOT the 7-day extension denied stamp. It's a regular tourism extension that's only valid for an additional 7 days.Ian **********

One is a normal extension that can be converted to other visas, received additional extensions if eligible, etc. The other is not an extension. It's a denial stamp and you MUST leave after 7 days, because there's nothing else that can be done based off of that stamp since it's not an extension.MagicalC*********

A trip to Vietnam for 5 days feels like a border bounce to me, even though it may be your home country. I'd be surprised if you got 30 days. What sort of additional information did they ask for

they wanted me to send them all pages of my passport with Thailand stamps.

I think you got scammed. You can’t get a visa free exemption until you see the immigration agent at the airport or border.

78 days plus 60 days is already a total of 138 days. Another 30 days would pass the 157 days mark within a one-year period by 11 days. Thus, my bet is you will be given a 7 days extension

The rules say ONE 30 day extension and ONE 7 day extension be prepared for that don’t know anything about what your doing online

Moderate chance of 30 days. You need to be convincing to the Immigration officer and have much tourist stuff ready as you can, like return flight to your home country, hotel booked. 20kthb

after my online application, they emailed me asking for additional documents which I provided. They then told me to go down in person for the interview on Monday.There is no mention what is my visa exemption extension status.
