What are the challenges faced when extending a Non Immigrant 90 Day Visa in Thailand?

I went to Thai Immigration this morning in Bangkok for a 30 day extension on my Non Immigrant 90 day Visa and after waiting several hours to get in, collect forms etc was told to come back tomorrow as no more numbers were being issued today. Not a very healthy environment with people almost falling over each other but what can you do. Will try again tomorrow.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience at Thai Immigration in Bangkok seeking a 30-day extension on their Non Immigrant 90 Day Visa. After a lengthy wait, they were informed to return the next day as no more numbers were being issued. Comments from other users highlighted the unusual circumstances of the situation, the crowded environment, and corrective information about the non-existence of a 30-day extension for this visa type, suggesting alternative options instead.

Sorry for me NOT doing the research and seeing what visa you really were on from your previous posts.

The thing is there is NO such thing as 30 day extension on a single entry Non-O visa. :/ You apply for a year extension, OR you apply for a 60 day visit thai family extension (based on marriage to a thai or raising half thai kids).

I honestly don't know how you'd get a 30 day extension at all. Unless you're from a country whose consulate here issues the "unable to travel due to covid-19" letter that gets a 30 day emergency extension based on "embassy request".

I'm at a total loss, Sorry...... :(

I have a SETV Non Immigrant and Immigration told me I was OK for a 30 day extension but I went too early last time and had to wait nearer the expiry date.

I suppose these are not usual times but keeping any sort of distance from others was impossible.

Was there too but I left. I didnโ€™t wanna queue up for hours just to be told to come the next day. Iโ€™ll be sure to be early tomorrow

That is very unusual. Usually CW will give out queues until 3:30 p.m. and everyone who gets a queue will be served.
