TLDR : Answer Summary
Several users recommend Kasikorn Bank (KBank) as a reliable option for foreigners, citing its efficient customer service and user-friendly banking app. Others also mention SCB and Krungthai Bank as solid alternatives. Overall, there is a consensus that the customer service experience may differ from that in their home countries.

Krungthai has always been good to me..and they have a useful app
Albert *******
As others has suggested , Kasicorn is AWESOME!
Steve ********

Matt ************
Put me down for Kasikorn too. They have been great.
Michael ********
I just got account with Krungsi and will get another at Kasikorn so got back up.
Steve ********
@Michael *******
when did you get the Krungsi account? Did they want a residence certificate and mobile certificate?
Drew *****
I dumped BangkokBank for Kasikorn. All good so far
Colin **********
Kasikorn bank (kbank) there banking app is good, i have debit and credit cards. Plenty of branches, email and english helpline, prefered over Bangkok bank.
Steve ********
@Colin *********
any issues getting the debit and credit card with them? Any paperwork needed?
Sue **********
@Steve *******
how could you get two cards, one debit and one credit card separately? I only got a visa debit card where the amount I spend with it immediately deducted it from my account. A credit card is one with which you are borrowing money from the card issuer.
Colin **********
@Sue *********
well luck the credit card was with CITI bank, but they passed on the business to Kbank, it is a proper credit card in so much its not prepaid. And the two debit cards are on 2 accounts.

@Steve *******
no takes 15 mins, passport i think thats all,
Steve ********
@Colin *********
is it a pre-paid CC?
Jay *******
Kasikorn has been easy do deal with and hasn't had the same issues as Bangkok bank. But you can't predict what will happen in the future. Don't expect the same customer service you get at home. Banks here and customer service don't go together
Steven *********
@Jay ******
does this bank allow you to open an account with a DTV?
Dan *********
@Steven ********
For the time being, no Thai bank will open new accounts for DTV visa holders.
Steven *********
@Dan ********
yeah I found that out today... spoke to a few banks and agents.. looks like bkk fkd it and now they are closing all DTVs down.
Jay *******
@Steven ********
that I don't know
Michael ********
@Jay ******
Siam Legal recommends this bank (kasikorn) branch in the building of their offices
David *******
@Michael *******
What ever bank

I used Kasikorn initially but changed to Bkk Bk as it was easier at the time.
David *******
@Jay ******
Actually the customer service is far better here than Australia ,especically my. Bkk Bk.
Jay *******
@David ******
wow, I'm shocked 😆. My experience has been the exact opposite. But once you're set up everything is a breeze as long as your bank doesn't freeze your account.
David *******
@Jay ******
I have had that account for about 15 yrs.

I like the fact that the staff have always been helpful.

Any questions always answered, but Oz has maybe 2 staff, and difficult.

Just have the right info for them, like proof of address , passport ,book etc.

@Jay ******
Which "back Home" country? 'cause customer service in the U S. sucks big time
Jay *******
@Ismael **************
I'm from the US and you will find customer service there 1000x better than here when it comes to banks. Thats the only place I can find that US customer service is better, but its night and day better.
Will *****
@Jay ******
any specific branch? Chomburi region do you know any?
Jay *******
@Will ****
I'm using beach road jomtien
Riwalt *********
@Jay ******

Jay *******
@Riwalt ********
the app works perfectly. Customer service is very very far from what I am use to. I have accounts at multi banks here

The KBank branch at Central in Chonburi is usually pretty decent to deal with.
