What are the best strategies for completing a 90-day report in Thailand efficiently?

May 13, 2025
Got to immigration for 9:30am this morning for 90 day report, and was given queue number 400+ and queue was at 63, I was looking at 3-4 hours wait.

Around 10:15 i saw an agent in there so he offered to do it for me for 200baht as he had only a few people in front of him. 20-30 mins later I was out and it was still queue number 90ish.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a recent experience of completing a 90-day report at a Thai immigration office, detailing a long wait expected due to the queue (400+) while at number 63. The author then mentions an agent offering to expedite the process for 200 baht. Comments provide advice on alternatives like online reporting (which varies by situation), using agents, and the importance of planning visits to avoid peak times, while also highlighting that first-time visitors have to report in person.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Serviceto get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).

I just use bumrungrad hospital's service, it's around 600 baht and takes 10 mins to drop off your passport and pick it up later in the week.

I’ll be using the agent from now on. Got quoted 500baht for pick up and drop off.

The hospital is 650 baht, not sure if I would trust a random agent with my passport but the hospital offers this service for their patients so I figured that's much more trustworthy....

that’s the one thing that’s always put me off and why I partly went myself, you never truly know if anything shady is going on with the passport.

When you say a patient, do you have to be an in patient at the time or just be registered with them?

Anonymous participant No, you do not need to be a patient, but they send their own staff for their own patients and others. That's why I was comfortable doing it here.

no you cant! If it’s your first time it has to be done in person ( at least in Bangkok )

With a DTV every time you reenter the first 90 day report is classed as your first one, so again can’t be done online.

Anonymous participant well you’ll just have to queue then, I mean talk about not planning, next day after another long Thai weekend of holidays, there are many in April/May, best to keep a calendar of all Thai holidays to keep life simple🤷🏿‍♀️

what are you talking about. I planned to go to today because I have prior appointments. I planned my route and to get there around 9:00 to 9:30

That’s literally the definition of planning you dullard!

Further more if you read my OP you will see I didn’t have to wait long and was on my way.

And for future reference I have the option to use an agent while getting to experience the process first hand which I like to do for all things so I have a better understanding and can factor that into future decisions

Again you are a dullard!

Anonymous participant stop wasting people’s time, complaining about the waiting then, after saying it was not a long time, just carrying on doing what you are doing, others will choose the online way🤦🏻‍♀️

at what point did I complain? I shared an experience of what my expected wait time would have been, but fortunately for me I saw an agent there who made the experience less painful.

That provides context and insight to others to help them, and consider alternative options.

The only person moaning here is you! And if you actually read my original post you would see how much of a dullard you are!

Anonymous participant who told you that after setting up for first visit, can do all online, you have to complete online reporting within 24hrs of arrival, no need to queue at immigration office 😅 They use "Line" so use that for reporting

.keep life simple, more time for girls, beer & sick buffalo stories etc 😁

Worst days to go are mondays and fridays. Especially if it’s a long weekend. Normal days if you go for open your out in a couple hours

Depends what province you're in. If it's chiang mai go to the immigration office next to the airport. They have a drive thru and walk up window left side of building just for 90 day reports.

can’t do online for your first time, it says this on the poster inside and I even asked at desk.

Also every time you leave and come back into the country your first 90 day report is classed as your first time again so has to be in person

Participante anónimo 679 totally not a bribe, agents are legally allowed to do not do the regular queue. It's the same in all countries. There's no obligation to use their services if you don't want.

Anonymous participant 679 that’s usually the case, it’s not a bribe it’s a payment for services, it’s always been the case - agents have agreements with immigration why sit all day like sheep when you can be in and out for a few quid?

They’re not difficult to identify 🤦‍♂️
