Hi everyone. I'll be going back to Thailand in a couple of weeks. I'm 66 y/o from the UK and have a non imm O (marriage) visa with a re- entry permit. Will probably be staying for quite a few months so am looking for insurance that covers more than the basics of the TP.

Has anyone from the UK recently got such insurance that satisfies the TP requirements but also additional cover for up to a year?? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat from the UK on a NON-O (marriage) visa is seeking insurance to cover more than basic requirements for the Thai Pass (TP) during a long stay in Thailand. Commenters suggest looking for specialized insurance for long-term stays, with one user recommending an annual AIA policy available in Thailand that covers both the Thai Pass and annual medical needs.

I use an annual AIA policy purchased inside Thailand. It covers me for both the Thai pass and annual medical coverage of up to 1M baht. I doubt you can buy it outside Thailand though. Might be best to get cheap 30 day insurance for Thai pass then sort out proper insurance once you are in Thailand

tends to work by age. I pay 45k baht per annum with no outpatient cover. It will go up next year as I'll hit 65.

Most of 31 to 45 days you will have to find special insurance to cover you for longer
