TLDR : Answer Summary
The question is about the best visa choices for an Australian planning a long stay in Thailand, with interests in studying, teaching English, or Muay Thai training. Responses suggest considering a student visa or an education visa for working with a Muay Thai or language school. Some mentioned the LTR (Long-Term Resident) visa as an option and discussed the multiple entry visa for extended stay. General advice included the necessity of saving enough money and being mindful of the teaching job market.

when you fly back in a day before the 6 month expiration date, they give you another 2 months plus the 1 month extension. Okay so, 8 months and 29 days.

so after your 8 months and 29 days, you fly out of Thailand, how soon after leaving Thailand can you reapply for the multiple entry visas again , thanks, sorry for being a nuisance

I wouldn't abuse the multi entry. You have to apply in your homw country. I guess you should wait 3 months just to be on the safe side before begore another application.

, coolies, I was hoping you'd correct me on that as hubby and I are trying to find a way to stay for extended time so we can actually figure out best way for us to move permanently.

Don't listen to these naysayers. Come here on a multi entry visa that will give you 9 months and do a student visa that will give you 12 months. That would give you enough time to find a job. NOW, make sure you have enough saved up. Teachers don't make anything unless you are at an international school. Also, the dating life here would suck for you. These sex pats only want a young Thai girls in their 20s. The Thai guys here are lame. All the good ones would also want a young Thai girls in their 20s. As long as you can accept that your income would be limited and the dating scene would suck for you, then Thailand would be the spot for you.

What is your age and/or do you have Thai family?

@Graham *****
you need to apply outside of Thailand for a Non/B Visa. You will need documents from the school who Is employing you. The school then takes your Non -B to the the Thai Lsbor Office and they will grant you a Work permit for the length of your contract.

Do not use a Thai Agent. They are scammers.
