TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about recommended immigration agents in Krabi for a retirement visa. Comments suggest 'THAI VISA CENTRE' as a notable option, although they are based in Bangkok and handle applications via mail, which some users find concerning. Others advocate for a self-application approach, emphasizing the importance of handling visa processes personally.

awww that’s cute you think it’s illegal. Is this your first trip outside your country? Obviously not much of a traveller. Enjoy standing in line every year. You could probably earn a few extra baht to stand in line for others also though 🤷♂️
you know that it's not legal and that it's all about money to keep the thai immigration happy, as for travel I've been to more country's than you have ever seen
lol. In your dreams. I’ve been to more countries than you have heard of. And far more travel time. And it’s not illegal. But if can’t afford an agent, don’t mind wasting your time in line, can’t do basic investing; it’s a good plan
exactly. U could be making make 8% on your money overseas instead of dying in a Thai bank. That 64,000 a year. Plus you could have bought house during Covid and now cash out for a few million baht profit already.
Or do what you do and stand bank and immigration lines to pay 1900 baht and then go pay rent to the people who bought houses…
Way to think it all through

I wouldn't be sending my passport through the mail
As long as you use a waterproof envelope, and services like EMS with signature on delivery it is relatively safe.
Last time we had a issue was years ago, and it was due to the client not properly taping the envelope. Luckily we were able to recover the passport as it was on the floor of the truck.
