Any recommendations on an airline from USA to Thailand. Not a low budget airline but not the most expensive, but something in the middle.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers are seeking recommendations for mid-range airlines for flights from the USA to Thailand. Suggestions include ANA for excellent service, Delta for connections via Atlanta, and Korean Air for frequent flights. Other airlines mentioned include EVA Air, STARLUX, Japan Airlines (JAL), and major Middle Eastern carriers like Qatar Airways and Emirates.

I always fly Korean

Lots of daily flights

Typically if you time it right

They will have some of the lowest fares

Agree with those suggesting ANA since can get Star Alliance points. Second choice would be JAL. I'd like to give StarLux a try but not on my route.

Welcome. I like JAL too; great service. But I prefer ANA for getting points and the A380 is super cool! Safe travels.

yes the Airbus 380 is a great plane. The 21 hour flight for me isn't a big issue. Im not clostraphobic. So big plane small plane not a big deal but when an airline adds more seats and takes away leg room and isle space, I won't ever fly them again. So delta lost my business.

Iโ€™ve heard zipair to Tokyo (lay flat seats), and then a cheap flight from Tokyo to Thailand may be a good way to go.

Zipair charges for a checked bag and charges you for anything that you want to eat or drink in flight , even water .

Theyโ€™re cheap but take food and drink on the plane with you , I flew Narita to BKK , it was a nice new plane though .

Robbie Bowen I'm thinking, it may be better to spend the extra $100 and not worry about baggage & meals, water...

, I agree , my checked bag cost about $50 but you pay by the weight , some people with a lot of luggage could pay a lot more , theyโ€™re like the Frontier airlines of Asia , but with much prettier flight attendants . ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Lay flat seats! That sounds like a combo. I wouldn't mind a cheap flight for a short flight.

Tokyo to Bangkok is almost 7 hours flying time. Not exactly a 'short' flight.

Where'd she say that? Anyway I reread and she takes a non-stop from So. Korea. I misread it as Korean airlines non-stop to BKK. I've taken that flight before.

JAL has a non-stop to Narita, Japan from Dallas I usually take. It's 17 hours but it goes pretty fast. What I don't like is a bunch of short flights connected with long layovers.
